'William and Leatham and Priscilla Gurney from their affectionate friends and Uncle and Aunt Joseph and Elizabeth T. H. Fry Second Month 1839'. Elizabeth Fry nee Gurney was a prison reformer, social reformer, a quaker and a philanthropist. The connection with her family is clear and on our research the signatures match. Thus a rare inscribed copy.
