Some foxing and slight watermarks. Quarter morocco - corners worn.  Library stamps and sticker to endpapers. Ffep age darkened. Front hinge loosening but binding still firm. An attractive and fulsome work with accounts of journeys and findings undertaking a geological survey of parts of New Zealand. Author was an important geologist and geographer, his observations both scientific and physical. Also the book has a good section on Maori. NZNB 2627
