Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov has often said that by studying the Gospels, he travelled through the spiritual regions that also resided in him, thus gaining access to a kind of cosmic "library", the "great book of Nature". In spite of being an object of condemnation by the clergy, since the Middle Ages alchemy has profundly permeated Christian mysticism and esotericism. And if you study the sculptures both on the outside and inside of cathedrals such as the Notre-Dame in Paris or the Notre-Dame in Chartres, you will discover that the builders of these cathedrals possessed alchemical knowledge, to which architecture and sculpture bear ample witness.'
